Cooking Gas Scarcity Grips Multiple Nigerian States As Prices Soar
A severe shortage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, commonly known as cooking gas, has taken hold in Lagos and other states across Nigeria.
The ongoing crisis has led to soaring prices, causing significant concerns for consumers and businesses.
The shortage has not spared other regions as well. According to reports gathered, states such as Katsina, Sokoto, Delta, Kaduna, and Kano have all been affected by the scarcity of cooking gas.
The price of this essential household commodity has been on the rise since late last month, leading to a continuous increase in costs.
Notably, gas terminal owners were reported to have raised prices by a staggering 66% in October alone.
